pfd, no one should feel offended for whether or not they like any song/video in these games. You have a right to your opinion as does everyone else. It promotes discussion, which is what we're after, right?

I'm with dreamer on the AH album too. I think he did a wonderful job on it, but it's really not my cup of tea! I prefer my rock stars to rock!

I enjoy debate. However, I understand not everybody does. If you're the type who gets really upset or takes it personally if someone disagrees with you, this is not the thread for you.

As for those who are anxious about expressing an opinion lest they step on someone's toes... You're going to have to get over that if you want to play. Opinions are what this game is about. Sometimes they're expressed strongly, but as long as no one's getting attacked, I don't see a problem.

I hope no one expects me to apologize when I feel strongly and say so. If someone passionately defending something frightens you, then prepare to be scared.

Just my 2 cents on the After Hours album--- LOVE, LOVE , LOVE this type of music and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE artist like Buble and Connick and anyone who covers them also, including Stewart and Glenn. But I can completely understand why some wouldn't and I feel 'schmaltzy' is a very good description for it. Lamorna says she doesn't like SEEING or HEARING them while she was VIEWING the videos-- which is what this game is about. So this....

doesn't make sense to me because I don't feel the reason why Glenn made the After Hours album has anything to do with a Glenn Frey Music Video Survivor game.

I thought mentioning why the album was made might have gone some way to explain why the video was in the style it was.

I'm sorry if people thought I overreacted to the use of the word 'schmaltzy'.

For the most part I will vote but not make comments.

I was just coming in to post some thoughts about what video I think should go next. I'm not voting yet, but I urge folks to consider eliminating The Shadow of Your Smile next. The song is my favorite song on After Hours, but the video isn't hitting on much for me. It has a nice setting and ambiance, but otherwise it's just showing a performance of the song. The Heat Is On is a performance video too, but at least it has some fun, energetic action from the film going on in it that I find entertaining.

Let me get this out of the way & then I will say no more about it.

TSOYS became my favourite Frey video as soon as I saw it, simply BECAUSE it is a performance video, because he looks so good & I love watching the way the other musicians move from the bar to join him in the performance. It makes me feel the song even more deeply than I did before I saw it. I find it very moving. It also reminds me of seeing the song performed live. If this & Route 66 go early, it can't be helped, but I love them both & needed to say so, once.

My vote this time is for Livin' Right.
