And it sucks really freaking hard to pay the same price as everybody else - sometimes more - and get less of a show.

I used to think it was a casino thing, but Fleetwood Mac played their full 23-song set at the MGM Grand a couple months ago (Dec. 30, to be exact). Perhaps the Eagles will play their full set this time, too.

I'm sure they will. Maybe not since festivals were smaller. Last year's casino shows were same as other shows.

I would hope that they play the same show. They have really branded this tour as HOTE, and there have been countless articles in all of the major city newspapers about the format of the show and the set list, the feel of the first half vs. the feel of the second half, and most importantly, the fact that it runs 3 hours. Vegas is only a 4-hr drive from LA - if someone missed them at the Forum and makes the effort to see them in Vegas, that would be really unfortunate if it were a modified show. If it is one of their short "Vegas" shows, they should have a disclaimer that it's not the same as the other shows in the tour. That festival in Newfoundland or wherever was a cluster all the way around it sounds like, so I can see making some changes in that case. Can't wait to read the reviews! Wish I could go!

I think the one in Milwaukee was shortened, too? I can't remember. Anyway, when thinking of going to this show, it never occurred to me that it would be a shortened setlist. It was all about the higher cost for the holiday weekend.

If Glenn has been spending time in New York, I hope he got out before the snow came in!

Well - tonight's the night. The band gets started again for the next leg of the tour. Very exciting and I can't wait to hear how the show goes.

VA - I'm a little confused about your comment here. Are you saying that the Vegas shows in the past were all full-length shows? I was under the impression that the shows were abbreviated shows with around a 20-song setlist and no intermission like they play at festivals. I'm anxious to see what they do tonight and tomorrow night. I really hope they do play the full-length show - that would be awesome.

I'm saying that the casino shows (Vegas and Atlantic City) were the exact same setlist as Atlanta, and I believe the same as they played in South Africa. I'd have to go check out those setlists. I just know when I joined the board in 2011 and was going to the Vegas show in Nov. 2011, several mentioned that the shows in Europe earlier in the year were all the abbreviated setlists as well. My impression was that they hadn't played a full, three hour show with an intermission since the Eden tour here in the US, but again, that's what I think I remember hearing here. People were telling me not to get my hopes up for a long show since they hadn't been doing those.

ETA: I double checked, the South Africa and Dubai shows in 2012 were the same setlist as Atanta, the New Orleans Jazz Fest, and the Vegas and AC shows.

Okay VA. That clears things up for me. You are right, there was a period of time after the LROOE tour wrapped up that they were playing nothing but the shorter shows. I remember us speculating a lot before the HOTE kicked off if they were going to return to the longer shows. I can probably speak for a few of us that we were ecstatic that they did.

To say the least!!! Very ecstatic! They could play ten hours and I'd be happy! They wouldn't be, but I'd be in heaven. I am glad, I was worried they would extend it to three hours and jack up the prices, but they stayed about the same, and the 'cheap' seats have been cheaper than the 2012 shoes. VIP prices were initially the same or cheaper, and I think they still are for rows 2-20.

I really wish I could be there tonight, but I guess I can wait one week and six days to see them again...
