New tour dates for Europe for 2014

I'm a bit overwhelmed. I attended my first Eagles concert last week and when I bought those tickets, I told myself that if I liked it, I could get better ones for a UK show when they went on sale. With US dates lined up until March, that seemed a long way off and I though I'd have plenty of time to make my decision.

Then comes this news of the UK tour with public sale starting on Friday. Worse still, presales start tomorrow and I've realised that I qualify for that (O2 is good for all venues, it seems). If I go, I need to fit around my son's exam timetable and that's tricky this far ahead.

Am I really grumbling about what should be a good thing?

I can totally understand where you're coming from! I felt the same way about the first dates here in July. We all suspected July and August, but I was caught by surprise by tickets going on sale so early, in the recent past they were usually two months out. Then the shows were announced in March and tickets went on sale nearly immediately. I had plans for where the money would come from, but no way to get it sooner. I was fortunate in that my income tax refund would cover the early concerts, so I filed that night and fortunately the IRS got me the money before the American Express card was due!

UTW, I understand too. At least yours seems to be a time issue and not a money issue, although I guess it doesn't really matter when the bottom line is that you just can't go. I hope you'll be able to work it out; if not, be thankful that you got to see them once on this tour.

It turns out that the Birmingham show is during the half-term holiday so that's looking possible.

When they add additional dates, is it usually repeats at a venue or do they add new venues? I realise I don't even know what arena venues there are that are a suitable size.

It can really depend. I know thats saying nothing though!
I know how you feel. Just home from NYC after 2 gigs, and here I will be shelling out more money for the European dates. LOL! But it has to be done, and I am just so grateful that they are playing here that I will make it happen!!

looking forward to the O2 London gigs, 20 mins drive from home, but the main pain is the tickets go on sale whilst I am at Hospital appointments this week, dag nab it, by hook or by crook I hope to be there, maybe Xmas gift from the wife ? there goes her Dishwasher.

PS if anyone get any spare good seat keep me in mind.

Great! And the O2 is the right side of London for me although the tickets usually cost an arm and a leg. Hope they do that priority seating thing. Saw them there last time and they just seemed so distant ... plus at that time I wasn't Timothy Twisted.

Thanks for the Birmingham link - it gives the ticket prices. It's about a 2 hour drive or train journey but it's probably the closest they'll come to me.

Just looked at 02 site. They're advertising Premium Club and Club Experience as options. Can't find out what they consist of. Anyone know anything?

Side note: I would think they would use HotE tour photos for advertising though. They are using a LROOE one.
