For Christmas I received the The Studio Albums - 1972-79 box set. I'm delighted with it, I had a listen to side one of Hotel California and it sounded better than my parents' old CD of the album. I haven't listened to the One Of These Nights disc yet, which is also in their collection, but I expect it hear a similar improvement. I also played a couple of tracks from Eagles (Take It Easy and Earlybird were my picks) as well as Doolin-Dalton. Until now I'd only owned digital versions of the other four so it was nice to be able to put the respective CDs on.

    Very nice, JCL!

Does it count as an Eagles-related gift if people give you Southwest Airlines gift cards for your next Eagles adventure? Now...all I need is for the guys to announce some concerts...

If you're going to using them to go to an Eagles concert, feel free to count it!

I've just uploaded the HC disc to my computer to replace the old version - has sounded great so far (currently up to Wasted Time), with Life In The Fast Lane sounding particularly fantastic, with the guitars on the sound jumping out much more than before, especially on the outro.

One amusing thing I noticed when I uploaded the CD was that Don Felder was credited as writing all of the songs on the latter half of the album... and people say about him taking all of the credit for Hotel California . I corrected this straight away.

I'll go and upload my new OOTN disc now.

It's funny, my mother thinks I'm completely bonkers with my devotion to Don and the Eagles and then she goes and buys me this purse plus a watch made by 'Henley'!!!

Thats a lovely purse DD, and VA, I think that your voucher is definitely an Eagles related gift.

No Eagles gifts for me this Christmas. Either my family must think I have everything there is to own, or maybe they feel the can't compete with Scott Crago or Glenn

No Eagles gifts for me either. They could have at least gotten me air fare for Australia. VA, can you use yours for Australia?

DD, your Mom's got it going on!

Brooke, I don't think Southwest flies to Australia!! Plus, it's only $125! Still, it was sweet of them to think of me and my Eagles adventures.
