    What's the world coming to?!
Soda, that just made me think about it even MORE. I remember after 9/11 I worked in Grand Central Terminal and it was swarming with military armed with rifles and it unnerved me to see them. Now we have a one on one relationship with the cops in the mall, and it's not necessarily to be just friendly!

    Molly, how scary!

I remember about fifteen years ago my hubby and I went to Jamaica on vacation and traveling on the shuttle from the airport to our hotel we saw armed men in fatigues posted in several places along the highway. It scared me then and I thought, wow, they have to have that here? Seems like we are seeing more and more of that in our country now....

OMG - That is truly scary, Molly.

You know my fear is that this is becoming so commonplace in our society that we will become desensitized to it all. I remember all of the outrage, particularly after the Gabby Giffords shooting and Sandy Hook school massacre in Connecticut. And yet, here we are and in spite of all of the talk and outrage, virtually no action has been taken to try to resolve some of these problems in our society. Very scary and sad to me.
