Would someone be kind enough to explain VIP tickets for me? -or the best way to get tickets? My husband and I don't go out far from home normally (little one has Type 1 Diabetes) but since the Eagles are coming back we'd love to take the plunge because we don't want to miss our chance.

VIP Packages are basically the Eagles selling the first rows for higher prices. Although it sucks to pay so much, you're guaranteed a good seat without playing the Ticketmaster game and it beats paying scalpers. That's how I justify it, anyway! Oh, and you get dinner and a goodie bag too if you buy in the first ten rows, which makes it all seem a little more dignified.

You purchase them on Ticketmaster. You'll see an option to "Select Ticket Type." From there, you'll see a drop-down menu with the following included amongst the choices:

• Eagles Front Row VIP Package ($950)
• Eagles VIP Package ($650)
• Eagles Fan Floor Ticket Package ($450)

Here's what each of those entails, as taken from the "details" link:

Eagles Front Row VIP Package includes:

o One FRONT ROW Reserved floor ticket (distributed day of show)
o Preferred Parking (1 parking space per order)
o One entry to Official History of Eagles Preshow VIP Party, which includes:
- Priority VIP check-In
- Preshow open bar (includes beer & wine)
- Full dinner buffet
- History of Eagles photos on display
- Preshow prizes & giveaways
- Raffle for exclusive Eagles tour items
- Private crowd free merchandise shopping
- Preshow party music playing your favorite Eagles selections
o Exclusive Eagles VIP Merchandise, which includes:
- One exclusive History of Eagles jean jacket
- One exclusive Eagles gift bag
- One commemorative Eagles VIP laminate & lanyard
- One commemorative Eagles VIP ticket
o Dedicated On-Site VIP Hosts

Once you've decided which you want, you select that option and the rest is just like you'd do when you purchase any other TM ticket.

You might want to consider a back-up plan. MSG on a Saturday night is a tough ticket. I know you can still get seats, but I don't know if you will be happy with them. For example, as of now, two VIP seats (together) are unavailable at MSG. However, if you could get away for a short trip, NJ, PA, & MI, still have excellent VIP seats that you can purchase right now, even without an AMEX card.
If you have to stick with MSG, just make sure you are on the Ticketmaster website, ready to purchase, at 12 pm Friday, when the regular sale starts. Good Luck!

According to the Ticketmaster website, it's 12 pm. You might want to play around with the site beforehand. Sometimes you have to let the site find the seats for you. Other times you can choose a map and actually click on the seats you want. Friday will probably be the former.

Got my tickets. Not doing the VIP but seats aren't bad.
Hopefully we can do a get together after the show like we did last Nov. Will be fun to see you guys again & have a drink! Also will be good to meet some of the peeps I haven't met yet!!
