Thanks for the info WE. I have heard about trains & buses into Boston. One right to the TD Garden would be great. We will have to take some alternate means of transportation in as we don't want to drive ourselves. The relative that we will most likely be staying with lives in Exeter. I may call on you for more info as the time gets closer. Wish you could make it, but I all too clearly understand the financial restrictions.

Dreamer, I sure hope you can make it happen. Meeting up with you again would be the highlight of the trip for Harold I'm sure.

GL - I am giving this some serious thought, and hope I can work it out. I'll keep you posted and I would love to see you and Harold again. And go ahead and humor Harold and tell him that the only reason I'm making the trip is to see him again.

That's perfect! The Amtrak Downeaster stops in Exeter on its route between Portland, ME and Boston's North Station. North Station and TD Garden are in the same building. Check the schedules online. The timing might be a little tight for the departure, but it would be a great way to avoid driving to Boston, if you can swing it. Round trip is around $33/person, but you'd pay that in parking and aggravation if you drove. Boston parking is hugely expensive. Parking is free at the Exeter train station.

I live about 10 minutes from Exeter. Let me know if you'd like to meet for lunch before you leave for Boston or before you head home from your adventure.

Is anybody going to be at the VIP reception before the show?
GL, myself and our other halves are meeting up afterwards for a few drinks to calm down if anyone wants to join us.
Are there any locals who can suggest a good bar nearby that's open late?
    Not long to go
