Wow, 4 years! That just makes me sad!
Glenn had such a great time singing with those women at that!

@Brooke -- I think it's fairly safe to say that Sugar was always happy when he was surrounded by women. He was the kind of man who just loved women. They don't come around too often.
That's so awesome that you got to go there, Soda! I'm sure it was an epic moment for you. It's wonderful when those magical moments come along in life.
Soda - It is so cool you were able to go and have that special memory and share it with us. I can't believe it has been for years. I remember watching it on tv.
It was so surreal. Here's how it went down. My friend Kristin, who is my partner in crime for a lot of Fleetwood Mac stuff, called me when it was announced. This was on April 1. "Stevie's going to be paying tribute to Linda Ronstadt at the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in New York and I'm going! Want to come?"
"Oh, that's so cool and I'd love to, but it's such short notice..." I mean, we're talking nine days, people.
"And Glenn Frey will be there, too," Kristin added.
"Ha, you liar! This is an April Fool's joke, right?" I scoffed. Glenn just didn't do that kind of stuff, and Kristin knew how much I loved him. Glenn AND Stevie? Too good to be true.
"No, I swear! Look it up!"
I immediately Googled it, read the announcement, checked the site to make sure it was legit, and screamed "I'M THERE!"
I got everything cemented by April 4 and was off to NYC on April 9. Crazy!
SO glad I went.
5 years ago today, Glenn inducted Linda into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Brothers for life. RIP Glenn
I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley
Thanks for the reminder, shun and also for re-posting those videos. I love it when Glenn joins the ladies on stage!
