Default Radio Caroline's Top 500 albums - Eagles / solo work features

Radio Caroline is a British radio station dedicated to 1960s+ rock music, mainly album-orientated rock and similar. Anyway, they were 50 years old this week just gone, and as such they celebrated with listeners voting for their top 500 albums of all time. See http://www.radiocaroline.co.uk/#home.html for the list.

    Eagles rankings were:
    9. Hotel California
    64. Long Road Out of Eden
    147. One of These Nights
    211. On the Border
    370. Eagles (eponymous)
    476. Desperado

    Solo rankings were:
    206. The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get - Joe Walsh
    251. Analog Man - Joe Walsh
    347. Rose of Cimarron - Poco (TBS)
    453. The End of the Innocnce - Don Henley

    Any debate welcomed!

Cool! I am surprised that LROOE came in ahead of the older ones though!

Since The Long Run didn't make the list, I have to wonder if LROOE was a mistake? I hope it isn't! Love the album, and of course, it's much further up my list of best albums.

Thanks, TLR, for the link and giving us the important parts!

I really would love to believe that LROOE is not a mistake. If so, that gives credence to my belief that it is in fact loved by a huge number of people.

They were very kind to Analog Man; very kind indeed. From my viewpoint it's a disappointing selection of solo/non-Eagles work.

I don't know how Year Of The Cat ranks so high. I have only ever heard the title track. Very pleased to see Gordon Lightfoot's Sundown & perhaps an even bigger surprise is Mark Knopfler's Privateering amongst the Dire Straits albums.

I think I should clarify that Radio Caroline tends to aim more towards pop / soft rock than hard / 'disco' rock, which might explain the TLR / LROOE situation.
