I'm going to see Irish singer/songwriter Gavin James in Dublin on 9 December and I just saw that he played a sold out show in the Troubadour in LA last night - how cool was that !!
It was a brilliant night by all accounts - can't wait for his show now

A friend of mines was at that concert last night.

I'll be seeing Donny & Marie Osmond this Friday. Its finally here. This will be my first time seeing their show, but I saw Marie a few years ago when she came to Mississippi. So this will be my second time seeing Marie.

Thanks HB. Its great to finally see them. I'm a huge fan of the Osmond family. They and the Eagles are my top favorite group. I can listen to them all day. I always go to Branson, MO to see The Osmond Brothers every fall for my vacation, but I didn't get to see them this year. I'm going back next year.

Donny and Marie have been in Vegas for 9 years with their show and I couldn't afford to see them in Vegas. So with having them in my backyard is so cool. I never thought they would bring their Christmas show to Mississippi. Heck. I never thought I would even see them. (I said the same thing about seeing any of the Eagle members and now that's happening. LOL I guess never say never) They always skip Mississippi when they take their Vegas show on the road. Plus their show is sold out here. So that's good.

I almost didn't get a ticket because after Joe's show, I was saving for Don's show in Houston. Then I found out they were coming to MS. So I had to put Don on the backburner for a month to save for their show because who sell out quick(which it did). Luckily a friend of mines bought my ticket when they went on sale and I paid her back. Then I started to save for Don's show which I got.

Eagles7, how was Bob? He's 75 now, as you know.

I'm amazed at many of the artists I've seen in recent years - the Moody Blues, Graham Nash, Danny Hutton of Three Dog Night - who are pushing 70 or over, and they sound fantastic.

I'd love to hear how Bob was. I get the sense that Bob is a somewhat unpredictable live act, in that I read of some people coming back from his show and loving it, whereas others are somewhat horrified (I remember reading one guy who went to see him when he was touring with Mark Knopfler. He said he loved Knopfler's set, but thought Dylan was awful). As with his voice, there seems to be no middle ground with Bob!

Weirdly enough, the only two artists I've seen live (excluding tribute bands) - Don H and Neil Young - were both 68 when I saw them. I was very impressed by both their performances though!
