Deep set eyes are large and set deeper into the skull, creating the illusion of a more prominent brow bone.

I got that off Google, since I figured someone would have a better description than me. Because of the 'more prominent brow bone', his eyes are often in a shadow when others' are not. It not only makes it hard to see the color, it can make it hard to read his thoughts.

I do notice with Glenn it seems like his eyes are closed, but in reality its not, but now I see why it looks like that. Thanks for the explanation, VA.

My question is how many of those posts were in the Frey Fever threads? Love having you here and to many, many more posts.

Re: Glenn's eye color, one thing that may make them look darker is because his eyes are very deep set. When I saw Glenn at Pebble Beach, I looked closely at his eyes and I was surprised how deep set they actually are. Of course, the lighting (natural or artificial) can make a difference in the color intensity as well.
His eyes are definitely a blue color there. What year is that photo? His hair is shorter, but not as short as the Long Run days.

I believe another photo from the set was used on the "Wanted" posters that were used for the Desperado tour, so maybe early 1973. The hair length isn't a lot different to the BBC concert, but shorter than the cover shoots for Desperado (early 73?) and On the Border (September 73). Which would make him aged 24.

Well, I was off by 5 years. I was thinking 1978 or so, between HC and the Long Run time. Regardless, that's one guy in the photo!

A link to this getty images photo came up on Google Alerts today. Getty Images says "Glenn Frey singing with an unidentified man during a One of These Nights concert". Anyone have a clue who yhe guy is? I thought maybe JD Souther because of the beard, but I don't know.
