Maybe it was old news by then. According to its website, Third Encore was set up in 1989 and Soundcheck in 1992. I know Glenn was part of Soundcheck and it wouldn't surprise me if he backed Third Encore, given that it was set up by one of his faithful roadies.

The bottom one is a Music Man Sterling bass.

On another note, I've been meaning to update this thread with more guitars the guys used. I need to do that soon, been promising it and I've not felt much motivation (winter sucks for me and my mood) but I will soon.

I will add the Music Man bass right now. I will also try to think of more guitars the other guys use. If ya'll could check the first page and cross reference any you might think of, and see if they are there, that would be a big help. If they aren't, please post the name and model of guitar, and a pic is even better.

Since i also play music I might hear how the Eagles or any other band sounds becasuse I am able to solo diffrent parts.


On another note I just placed ny order for my first 12 string acoustic guitar. Should be here in 4-6 buisness days. Or as I like to call it after Armageddon

Randy also has a very distinguishble Bass tone. Its very high based and tightened also based (no pun intended) on grove while Timmothy is more relaxed and with the flow type of person

Agreed, they are quite different stylistically.

Also, Randy used a Precision Bass most often which has a punchy heavier sound. The Jazz Bass Timothy prefers has a smoother, warm tone that is more softer. They both played other basses but those are the two basses I associate with each.

12-String guitars are very fun, although if you are used to light strings on a 6 string acoustic, it might prove challenging until you build up the strength. I like light strings on acoustic to be able to play leads in a solo show and if I put the 12-String down for too long, I have to spend a day or so getting the muscles back. It also helps if your 12-String has low action. Mine is an old 70s Yamaha and it is a bear to play but good sound so I stick with it.
