    Default R.I.P. Maya Angelou

This is a little late, but I wanted to acknowledge the passing last week of the legendary singer, actress, author, and poet Maya Angelou at age 86. She lived an extraordinary life and was an inspiration to so many. If any of us can gain just a little of the admiration and respect in our lives that she managed, then we will have done pretty well for ourselves. She will be missed.

I have tremendous respect for Maya Angelou. I have taught her poetry and it saddens me that we have lost another one of the greats. RIP Ms. Angelou. Your literary legacy will live on.
