With all due respect to my friend SS, because she has exquisite taste, I have to differ on this one topic - I think the way they are performing TS with the arrangement and lighting etc...is awesome. I was surprised by how much I liked it. FP I know you will enjoy it.

Personally I am looking forward to seeing it because it will be something different.
Yes. I can't remember if they played it when they did LRooE but I'd just seen it on so many setlists, I assumed it was a staple.

As I said, this is the first tour they have played it since the turn of the century. They did not play it on the LROOE tour.

    Those Shoes was awesome

I also loved Rocky Mountain Way

I wish they had done Sunset Grill and Dirty Laundry

I also wish they had done I don't want to Hear any more and also Do Something

Seven Bridges Road would have been cool too.

However, all in all it was a fantastic show!

Those Shoes was "the" highlight of the show I was at. I knew it was coming, but I still got chills when they played it. I think it's an underrated Eagles tune, much like Victim Of Love or After The Thrill Is Gone IMO.

I would have really liked to see an actual "History of the Eagles" setlist..
Start with Take It Easy, and go straight through the list..telling the little side stories (which I loved) as they go. Have Bernie out for everything through the One of these nights songs, then bring in Joe for the Hotel California and forward stuff. I would even have liked it had they just had Glenn, Don, Tim and Bernie up till the On the Border songs, bring in Steuart (as stand in for Don Felder), replace Bernie with Joe at Hotel, and tell the actual story of America's band on stage, with the obvious exception that Don and Randy weren't there to do their parts.

The trouble with that is that quite a few punters (myself included) wouldn't be too thrilled if you shelled out three figures for a ticket and then found that Joe Walsh (probably the most-loved and most-famous Eagle), one of the kings of rock and roll was only going to be around for half of it. It's an interesting concept but I just love to see them perform altogether. Of course it does seem a bit odd when you have four people playing an identical chord sequence for Take It to the Limit, but it really helps brings the whole thing alive to have them all playing as one - the outro to Doolin-Dalton / Desperado Reprise for one is amazing when you have eight vocals all combining together into the longing, pining finale. I fear after years of having such a grand style, having just four Eagles on stage and that's it would be a bit flat.
