HOTE version. Never been a fan of the original and I did like the jamming at the start and reworked 'Ahh' sections of the new take.

Same question for Heartache Tonight (I think we all know the answer!)

Definitely the original arrangement for me - HT works best as a high energy old fashioned rock and roll song and it's not as good without the loud electric guitars and Glenn's barnstorming vocal.
(By contrast, I thought the HOTE Witchy Woman was a really interesting reinterpretation of the song. I love the original too, but it was a cool version, it was different rather than distinctly better or worse)

Cass County Target Bonus Tracks: It Don't Matter To The Sun or Here Come Those Tears Again?
(I probably don't need to say which one I prefer again!)
Here Comes the Tears Again. I like Don's version. Plus my favorite singer is singing backup on the song with Don and Alison, Vince Gill.
---------
Duets on Cass County CD: Bramble Rose (with Miranda Lambert and Mick Jagger) or That Old Flame(with Martina McBride)
I like both a lot, although right now I'll go for Bramble Rose. I really like the way Bramble Roses use three different voices for each verse, which wouldn't suit most songs but works there but each verse is from a different point of view.

Good Day In Hell - original studio version or live 1976?
Well - I had to do an eny miny miney mo for that one, JCL and it came up with the live version. But, I love 'em both.

How about Eagles live performances of Joe solo songs: Life's Been Good or Rocky Mountain Way?
"People don't run out of dreams: People just run out of time ..."
Glenn Frey 11/06/1948 - 01/18/2016
Life's Been Good - it feels like more of a true band song than Rocky Mountain Way does and I think the Eagles performances are better than the studio versions, much more so than with RMW.

Eagles live performances of Don's solo songs: New York Minute or The Heart Of The Matter?
HOTM, which I was lucky enough to see, easily. I don't even know if they played NYM live on the HFO tour, but the HFO performance of it was very disappointing.

Henley covering Leonard Cohen: Democracy or Everybody Knows?
Definitely Everybody Knows. For some reason, I don't like Leonard Cohen's version.
------
Duets Don did with other people: Trisha Yearwood(Walkaway Joe) or Patty Smyth (Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough)
"Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough"/Patty Smyth. I don't consider "Walkaway Joe" a duet as Don sings backing vocals and when they performed this on TV back in the day, he stood in the background with dim lighting that brightened only when he sang. Plus the song is not credited as a duet.

Glenn's rockin' vocals: Out of Control or Heartache Tonight?
