Frankly, neither. I don't know how The Sad Café even got this far, but I think it's a better song than the Reprise, so I vote for it to win.

The battle of the two Don songs.

I vote for Desperado/Doolin' Dalton reprise. Before the HOTE concerts, I've never heard of Desperado/Doolin' Dalton reprise and I fell in love with this song especially since I didn't like the Desperado album until 2 years ago.

Until the HOTE tour, this song hasn't been sung since the 70s. So I think its underrated.

Both are equally good pieces of music and both have been out of the setlists for far too long, but I vote for Doolin-Dalton / Desperado (Reprise). The outro harmonies still give me the chills and I love its role in summarising the whole album. Seeing them perform it live again after four decades out in the cold is genuinely wonderful to see, especially with Bernie on banjo.

No doubt about it for me....

DOOLIN DALTON / DESPERADO REPRISE FOR THE WIN!!!

A magnificent song. I've always loved it, but when I heard it live for the first time in 2012, it brought my appreciation of the song to whole new level. I got chills listening to it during the concerts... it was so incredible, so cinematic, so EPIC. I am absolutely ECSTATIC that they brought it back.

As far as whether or not the song is underrated, since this is a "reprise" it is often dismissed out of hand by people who don't realize that it's more than just a hodge podge of previous songs. It has never made any "Greatest Hits" or "Best of" collections. It is the definition of Underrated!

No doubt about it for me, either! Hoping this song would win is why I played this game!

I vote for Doolin' Dalton / Desperado Reprise for the win!!!

Besides other fans and critics, this song was vastly underrated by me. I'd never heard anything but the studio version and while I liked it, it wasn't a favorite. Even having several of you at the first HOTE show (Louisville) mention it as awesome, I didn't pay it much notice in the first two shows. Then in Seattle, my third show, it was like someone unplugged my ears or something. There was literally a moment of silence before the applause when they were done by the entire crowd, and I've assumed it was because like me, they were speechless. Since then, I've looked forward to it at every show, and shelled out big $$ for shows I wouldn't normally have gone to, because I wanted to hear this song while I still could.

I even saw a tweet after the show in Melbourne where a fan was in awe of this song, and she didn't even know it existed before the concert.

I hope that the show in Vegas last October isn't the last time I hear it live. If it is, though, I have to say it was the best one, and I'll carry the memory of it in my mind and heart forever. "Maybe tomorrow...."

This song is the biggest reason I hope they put out a HOTE DVD. Everyone should have the opportunity to hear it!

    It has to be...

    DOOLIN' DALTON/DEPERADO REPRISE

    ...I just LOVE it.

I think it is definitely underrated. I had never heard it until I bought the Desperado album and I think it concludes the whole concept/theme running throughout the entire album. I think it's so clever and reminds me of the reprise that re-occurs through musicals like Les Miserables, bringing the whole story together.

I really like Sad Cafe for its beauty but Doolin' Dalton/Desperado Reprise is as Soda said, EPIC! When Don sings against the other guys I get goosebumps. I'm delighted it's getting its due recognition
...Well it sure makes you wonder the things that some people will say. They can see black and white but they don't seem to notice the grey...

    Doolin-Dalton/Desperado reprise for the win.

The whole of the Desperado album is underrated.
