On Sunday, June 21 and Monday, June 22 at The Avalon Hollywood, public television producers will record a new special celebrating the legacy of The Kingston Trio with performances by the current Trio and guests including musical contemporaries and artists influenced by their groundbreaking sound.
Original member Bob Shane will join Bill Zorn, George Grove and Rick Dougherty to perform on “Scotch and Soda” and other hits from his Grammy-winning repertoire with the group. Additional featured artists during the two evenings of performances include Timothy B. Schmit of The Eagles, Al Jardine of The Beach Boys, Trini Lopez, Barry McGuire, The Limeliters, and, fitting for the Father’s Day timing of the concert, Josh Reynolds, son of the late founding Trio member Nick Reynolds.
