Vinyl seems to be coming back here in the record stores, so it's a good marketing move. I will resist this, but I have just received the deluxe version and it's beautifully packaged, bound like a book, and with those extra photos Molly posted.
I would buy vinyl if my turntable still worked.
more WalMart/Deluxe Edition
I am SO disappointed in our local WalMart. I went yesterday to buy the deluxe edition and could not find it. No ads, nothing. I finally went to one of the salespeople and asked for it. She helped me look, and look and look. We finally found 1(!) copy, behind some off the wall artist's section. I know we are a small town, but I was shocked at the callous mistreatment of the deluxe edition. You would think there would be a bigger effort to sell this album since it is basically a WalMart exclusive. Anyways, I did buy the only deluxe edition available, and I love it. Granted, I now have 2 copies, but who cares? The pics alone were worth it.
I possess the silver bullets to slay the demons from my past. How do I know? Because I survived them-and I am already stronger than I believe.
I have 2 local Walmarts, both supercenters, and neither of them have done anything to promote LROOE. They have several copies and some of the other cds, but no posters, single display or anything other than the cds themselves.

Well, we still have the display up in the center aisle in front of electronics, with F1 playing on 6 tv's and all of the Eagles cd's, dvd's, and the box set lined up along the tv's. So far we have sold almost 1,000 of the LROOE cd!
