I'm really bombed about this. Soda and I had made plans for a fun long weekend trip to see this show and take in some New England autumn sight-seeing. We had gotten our ticket and booked the plane reservations. Then, it turned out that my niece had to change her wedding date because of a conflict with the venue, so, of course, the wedding is now the same day as Joe's show.

What really bombs me out about it is that I am not going to be able to attend any of the other shows, and I especially want to see Joe Vitale. The only possibility is the D.C. show at The Warner Theatre. However, that's when Pope Francis will be visiting. Catholic or not, there is no way I'd go within 75 miles of D.C. on those days. So, I guess I just have to wait to see if another opportunity presents itself.

Good news - my sister is going with me. She's not exactly a Joe Walsh superfan by any stretch, but she appreciates his talent, and is happy to have a break from the day-to-day grind of being a mommy with two small children for a weekend.

I just realized since this is a casino show, we'll probably get ILBTs. I wonder if I should warn my sister about it ahead of time? "Hey, just FYI, we're probably going to have to spend about three minutes listening to Joe sing inane lyrics making juvenile jokes about how much he likes big breasts. Lyrical highlights include 'I like tits for lunch, a Big Tit Attack. I like tits for breakfast, egg benedict tits.' No, I'm not kidding."

Other than that, I'm betting she'll be blown away by Joe's awesome talent. Who knows, maybe after this show she'll become a convert!
