I don't if any of you guys watch Reno 911, but they had this bit where a guy at a Renaissance Festival calls 911 and it had me rolling.

That was great, soda! Really funny!
It hit a little close to home, though. My niece and her husband used to participate every year in the Bristol Renaissance Fair here in Wisconsin. They have been known to get "into character" like that. My husband thought he was marrying into a family of aliens when he met my niece and her friends. She even had a Renaissance -themed wedding.
Hubby attended but he absolutely refused to wear tights!
There are disappointed women all over the country because of this!Hubby attended but he absolutely refused to wear tights!

Cause I'm livin' on things that excite me,
Be they pastries or lobsters or love;
I'm just tryin' to get by being quiet and shy,
In a world full of pushin' and shove.
It hits close to home for me, too! As a Renaissance scholar, I've seen the same kind of "character-playing" when I've attended these fairs with my fellow nerds. I've even dressed up myself and attempted an English accent, but I did about as good a job with it as Glenn does on "Such a Lovely Child."

That is too funny. Molly, I hope your niece had a summer wedding so that hubby's bare legs didn't get too cold!

I'm just a hired hand working on the dreams I plan to try. The days go by...
'Come and see the violence inherent in the system. Help help, I'm being repressed'
LOL! I think that's my favorite line from that movie.
