I vote for "It's Your World Now." I think I'd like it better if it had less of a Mexican feel and a bit more like "Tequila Sunrise."
I guess I will vote for "Somebody" again, though this is getting more and more difficult! This is a great album, I think. I have always been surprised it did not get more critical acclaim. I must admit, I bought it after the HOTE documentary, so it might not have been on my radar when it came out. I am sure some of you remember how it was received; would love to be enlightened.
Deb - There is a ton of information in this forum about the album when it was first released, as well as many of the individual songs. Not surprisingly, it was received very well on this site. However, it was also both critically and commercially successful. In a nutshell, the album debuted/reached #1 in many major markets across the globe, went approximately 7x platinum, received 4 American Music Award nominations, and I believe a total of 6 Grammy nominations, including album of the year. It won 2 Grammys - How Long for best country vocal by a duo or group (2007) and I Dreamed There Was No War for best pop instrumental ( 2008 ).
Now - as far as this round is concerned, I'm rather ambivalent about whether Center of the Universe or It's Your World Now should go next. I like both songs - COTU has gorgeous harmonies and It's Your World Now has wonderfully sentimental lyrics. However, I just feel like they are the weakest of the remaining songs and should be the next two to go, regardless of the order. I will vote to eliminate either of them to save Somebody. What concerns me is if we split the vote between the two songs, then Somebody could be in danger of elimination again. As of now, It's Your World Now has the most votes, so I would urge those who want to save Somebody to ban together and ...
VOTE FOR IT'S YOUR WORLD NOW!!!
SAVE SOMEBODY!!!
I am going to withhold my vote for now to see how this round plays out.

I must agree with what Dreamer and FP say - I have seen 'Somebody' live 3 times and I must say theres a spinechilling excitement that perhaps doesn't come across when it is being sung on the CD. I love it and certainly don't want to see it going down yet.

I'll vote for It's Your World Now. I don't have strong opinions for that, Somebody, or Center of the Universe. The rest of the songs after that I really like. It's going to be tough, as I tend to be very emotionally attached to the songs I like most. I have to keep reminding myself that it's just a popularity contest, really.
I'll vote for It's Your World Now to save Somebody. 2 of my lowest ranking songs are still going strong. I hope that they go before Somebody.

I like the other songs more so I'm voting for Somebody again
