Of course they 're-recorded' the song. I don't think it ever was recorded with Felder, just talked about. And eventually Don presumably agreed to record it, even assuming he had misgivings about it.

I do agree that it is more like a solo song (where are the three official Eagles apart from backing vocals) but I'm so happy that Glenn gave himself a 'showcase' like this.

However, I have to agree that this would sounds more like a Glenn solo song, as do some of Don's solos.

GEF, you've hit the nail right on the head - this is my favourite verse of the song too, especially "Her warm breath against my neck/Slowly breaking down my will". Wow. No guesses for what I'm thinking at that point... I wish it was me he was singing about! And of course, that's exactly how I would feel if I were to dance with him. I'm sorry, I just had to say that.

This is the most romantic song on the album, and I love it. Glenn's voice is beautiful and passionate, and full of emotion. I love the sound of the breaths he takes between lines at the beginning of the song, while the accompaniment is still very gentle . The lyrics are beautiful (thumbs up to Larry John McNally) and honest. The way Glenn sings this just sweeps me off my feet.

I'm working on a re-write of the song: "I Love To Listen To Glenn Frey Sing".

I've got a peaceful, easy feeling
And I know Glenn won't let me down

Not one of my favorites but I can see how the Glenn fans would love it.

lol - JoeFan. Unfortunately, I agree with you. That must be one of the worst things I've ever seen on YouTube. What a horrible thing to do to this song!

I've got to say that this one is one of my least favorites on the CD. If I want to hear Glenn get all romantic, I'd rather listen to Peaceful Easy Feeling. When I heard ILTWAWD, my first thought was, "I bet this is one of the ones that Don didn't want included." Sorry, Glenn fans! Don't throw anything at me! Speaking of ones that Don didn't want included, someone mentioned in an earlier post that he was dissatisfied with Busy Being Fabulous. Is that true? I love that song; it's one of my favorites on this album. Awww...what does Don know anyway?!

I think this song is "love it or hate it" - I fall in the former category. If Don didn't want it on the album, I'm glad he was outvoted. And I agree - BBF is terrific! So catchy!
