Thanks, Scamp! Things seemed to be so much more casual, relaxed, and personable between artists and fans back then. Did you get to chat with any acts?

No, they usually left the stage right after. Sometimes they'd head to the local hang out but it was too expensive for me. Did get to talk a few minuter with Linda, she was great. Really down to earth.

I guess it's possible, but I would be shocked if Glenn ever performed solo back in the early days. He was definitely a 'band' guy back then. Even David Geffen told him he belonged in a band, and he took that advice. Even after the Eagles break-up in '80, it took him a while to decide to go solo. But, like I said, you never know ... he was ambitious and confident, so he may have given it a try.

Just a little fun info..Joe has played with both Glenn and Waddy Wachtel. Do you know what Glenn and Waddy have in common besides Joe?

Both played at the Troubadour, both played and sang backup in Linda's band and both are left handed but play guitar right handed. Just something to file in your "who gives a sh**" department

I am rereading this thread and find it both comforting and inspiring. I am thankful for the many people who put so much time and effort into curating the stories and the forethought to copy the text rather than provide links which would now be broken.

Next week, it will be five years and so much has changed and so many have died but we still have the stories and the music. Thank you Glenn and everyone who allowed us to see him through their eyes.

In the run up to Glenn 's 5th anniversary I am listening to all his solo studio albums. I started today with No Fun Aloud. The plan is to finish with Above the Clouds by next Monday. Its just so hard to believe its 5 years.

It's now a little past midnight on the East Coast. I cannot fathom that five years have passed.( I'll probably say something more later on when I'm more awake.)

Yeah - Today marks the 5 year anniversary of our beloved Glenn's passing. There's still not a day that goes by that I don't think of him. Some days it seems like it was only yesterday and some days its seems like an eternity. I will never stop missing him. While, of course, you can share your thoughts in this thread, Soda and I thought this would be a good time to celebrate Glenn's life. So, I created a new thread that I will be posting various things in throughout the day that commemorate his remarkable talent and gifts that he left us with. Here's the link, so please check it out and share whatever you'd like ...
