I would love to go to something like how the Boston Pops are doing too.

Dan Patrick actually said a few things about Glenn in a new interview he did last night on "Off Camera with Sam Jones". I watch the show weekly as Sam is a director/writer who has great one on one hour long conversations with various actors, writers, directors, musicians, and now people involved with sports and I've known Dan since I was little and watched Sportscenter and his current radio/tv show. I wasn't expecting him to bring up Glenn since I didn't know when this was filmed but it must have been right after Glenn passed. Sam asked Dan about how he deals with interviews and if he can feel from the other person how the conversation should go and Dan replied this:

"Yes, you can tell. We had Glenn Frey on about 8 months before he died and I wanted to ask him so many questions about the Eagles but all Glenn wanted to talk about was the Tigers."

He laughed after and then went on how he loved getting to interview him and talk about sports, which was one of the reasons I loved that interview. I love baseball myself too (am a Giants & Reds fan) and that was really cool hearing him talk about his Tigers. So that was a nice unexpected moment for me.

Since I don't have an AL (American League) baseball team that I support like I do my Braves*, I'm going to pull for The Tigers for Glenn.

I grew up in a NL house too as my Dad is a Reds fan and I found my Giants as a teen. I will support other players I like though. I actually did already like the Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander for a couple years (and still do) and they actually played my Giants in the World Series back in 2012 but my team won. LOL I know Glenn's team hasn't won since the 80s and would be nice if they do soon.

    That's awesome Soda!!!

Just when I thought I was making progress and "getting over" it a day like today comes along and I can't stop tearing up It seems like when I have a tough day I immediately turn to Glenn's music and inevitably the tears come...makes me think of his family and how they must be suffering. Ah, sorry for the rambling just needed to vent.

Do vent TS! I feel exactly the same, sometimes I have 'good' days when I'm busy and/or things are going well and suddenly something comes into my mind from the blue and I tear up in despair all over again. Its very hard to come to terms with.

It's nice to be able to share with people who are facing the same struggles. Yesterday at work, I attempted to search some work emails for the word "golden" and got no hits. When I looked at what I actually typed, it was "glenn" and I got sad all over again.

I find that I am tearing up more again & the pain at times is terrible, especially when I think of what his family must be going through & when I think of the future without him. My heart breaks for his dad as well.

For the day that's in it - Glenn singing 'Wild Mountain Thyme' from his Live in Dublin concert.
I hope you don't mind me putting this link here but it's one of my favourite versions of this song and it's my way of remembering Glenn.........
