Sting performed his new song "50,000" and it's great!!! As mentioned before he got inspired to write it after Glenn, David Bowie, Prince, and Lemmy all passed away so close together. I really like the lyrics I can make out and it's a great tribute song to them, and hope the full lyrics are posted soon.

Thanks bf45. I liked the melody of the song, but had a very difficult time understanding the lyrics, which is a shame in a tribute song. I did a web search to see if I could find the lyrics, but couldn't come up with anything yet. Maybe they'll show up before too long.

I had the same issue Dreamer. His album is out in November so hopefully the recorded version and the lyrics will be up by then.

Yeah. I had a similar problem. Still, I appreciate the sentiment, especially today.

Glenn was included in the memorial segment of the Emmy awards tonight.

I've changed my signature here as I wanted something to commemorate Glenn . I've left my av though and its unlikely I will change it. I HAVE changed my FB profile and cover pics but they are and I think still will be Eagles/Glenn related.

I was asleep for the Emmy Awards last night but I will check out the video today. Pesky 6 hr time difference.

A country singer called Collin Raye made a tribute to Glenn at a concert:
He introduced Frey’s “Take it Easy” with stories about meeting the Eagle at a Nashville benefit bowling tournament and again on an airplane, emphasizing with both what a gracious guy Frey had been.

I was so happy Glenn was included in the Emmys like I hoped!!! Tori Kelly did a great performance (I love that song so much) and they honored so many of the celebs that passed away this past year. I was already so happy as so many of my favorite actors won and then seeing Glenn included in the tribute made it even better.

That's so great Collin did that. He's another favorite of my Mom's from the 90s country days.
