What's the story with the cute Frey'd t-shirt - did you have that made or was it official?

Its an official shirt. Glenn did a solo show in 2008 in Crosslake and Soda was there. She showed pictures of the t-shirts that they had on sale. I called the hotel the day after the show and was talking to a lovely lady who told me that they still had shirts and even better were on discount. So I bought a bundle of 3 which included that one.

Since then, I've read that Kris Kristofferson also performed that night, so it was a nice tip of the hat from Glenn.

Possibly a new one. The context was that most PGA golfers were voting for Bush in 1997, but one of the exceptions quotes Glenn.

Andrade points out that pro golfers are simply voting with their wallets, not necessarily their hearts. He recites a quote from singer/songwriter Glenn Frey to illustrate his point.

I'm paraphrasing, but at his NYU lecture I remember his line -- memorable to me at least; about songwriting, he said: "I love the self-exploration. I never grow tired of it. I love the pain and suffering that must go into it. It's never the same. It's always different."

It may not be a lyric or a song intro, but it's memorable to me.
