    Red face Watching the Oscars

Hi, all! Watching the Oscars. Noticing how well our friends from Ireland are represented tonight!

    Loved Saoirse Ronan in "Brooklyn!"

    I've yet to see Brooklyn!!
Sure you can't have the Oscars without some Irish there!! Heard Saoirse and her mom had a great night

I'm disappointed that Saoirse didn't win the Oscar, but there's always next year! Congrats to Brie Larson on her win though (still have to see that movie as well).

I can't believe that Sam Smith won best original song - I thought that was the worst of all the Bond theme songs.

I watched bits and pieces and finally gave up at 9:30!

I'm glad Leonardo Di Caprio finally won one! Loved The Revenant and wish it would have won Best Picture.

Well, you've just got to see it. I think it's just lovely. I hope you'll like it as much.

I saw Brie in "Room." Another great movie and Brie was so good in it, so yes, "Congrats!" to her.

    ...
I didn't really have an opinion on that one. I liked all the songs, I guess. But, Gaga's performance was very moving.

Yes, I was glad for Leo even though I didn't see "The Revenant." I've heard and read a lot about it, though, and it seemed to be the consensus that an Oscar this year was well-deserved.

Well, of course, TKAM is a worthy alternative! Great movie! And these award ceremonies can get so tiresome.

I watched the whole thing and i don't know why.

I know that Sam Smith kid is only 23 but how dumb do you have to be not to just Google something like "gay Oscar winners" - there is Elton John and Sir John Gielgud and loads of people.
