After reading the same accusation (too perfect) during a HFO show, Henley sat the journalist next to him as he sang and drummed to One Of These Nights just to prove it was all live.

Glenn commented that he was impressed by how great they sounded during the Capital Center 1977 show despite not having all the modern production tools that are available now. Previously (around the turn of the millennium time I think), he said, the Eagles live, are far better now that they were in the seventies.

Live concerts are one time only events. Concert DVDs etc, have to stand up to repeated viewings. It's only right that they iron out the rough spots.

The Eagles weren't a bunch of chancers who got lucky. They actually got popular by actually being better than everybody else.

But I was just watching the video of Take it to the Limit in 1977 at the Capitol Center and the vocals if not more seems dubbed or actually taken write off the studio album. First because its too perfect and second because there are moments where its not synched, like at 1:35 when Randy sings "time" and you can still here it after he clearly has stopped singing.

So whats the official word on the Capitol Center recordings....is that all over dubs, or studio album versions. If so was the live version ever leaked?

It's not overdubbed. It's not perfect They are minute changes in the way Randy sang the song.

[QUOTE=OutlawManNJ;325230]For example I shot and edited this live music video for a friend. I wont reveal if yes or no just yet, but watch it and tell me if you think there are overdubs and if so what was overdubbed.
