Default did having kids (or lack thereof) have any

effect on how they acted? I mean Don and Glenn didn't have any kids and while I think Walsh had a daughter, she died in a car accident a year or two before he joined the group. Therefore, I would assume they would be free to act in whatever way they wanted.

On the other hand, Randy, Tim, Felder (and maybe Leadon) all had kids and probably would have been on a tighter leash.

I'd guess that their family status did have an effect on all of them. I think Don and Glenn made conscientious (or unconscientious) decisions to stay single during the 70's. As Glenn stated in the HotE doc, he and Don both tried to have relationships during that time, but the Eagles trumped everything. Their drive and determination for the band to succeed was their priority. The other band members had other obligations and interest other than living the Eagles 24/7. This is probably why Don and Glenn emerged as the band's leaders and I imagine was also a source of conflict among the members.

BTW - Bernie's son wasn't born until after he left the band.
