A songwriting extraordinaire in the truest sense, he has produced such defining 70's hits as "If You Could Read My Mind," "Sundown," and "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald," as well as "Canadian Railroad Trilogy, which is considered by many Canadians to be their country's national anthem.
