Default Paramount Ranch destroyed by fire today

You'll recall this was where the Eagles shot their cowboy-outlaws Desperado photos and video/film:

What a loss of a part of Eagles history. Such a shame. I didn't realize the National Park Service had taken it over and that it was open to the public. It would have been a cool place to visit.

So very sad to see this.
Paradise, CA has been so heavily damaged by these fires. Our hearts go out to the people suffering losses there.

I am so sad to hear this. But so thankful that Soda, Dreamer & I had the chance in May 2016 to explore the old western town. It was so much fun & interesting!! A great day! And I love the photos I took.

My thoughts & prayers are with the families affected by these devastating fires. The people of California have been thru so much these last few days.

Does Timothy Schmit still live in Calabasas? I think the fire has reached there. Terrible what’s happening. Five people have died.

As far as I know, he does, but that information is from what I've read on this board, for the most part.
Prayers for everyone involved. It is terrible. I wish Timothy would post his status on his Facebook page or tweet something to let us all know he and his family are ok.

Heartbreaking for sure, prayers to all affected. Very cool that you got to visit there, NMB, Soda, Dreamer and Houston Baby. What a great photo op.

Yep - this is truly so sad. I actually visited twice ... As HB said, I went once with her and Soda, and then Brooke and I visited again in 2017. It was really fun finding the old buildings that were in the Desperado photo shoot. Maybe we can get some pictures posted in this thread eventually. My heart goes out to all of the Californians affected by these fires.
