The thing that's great about Lindsey live is his passion and amazing guitarwork. He is a genius at guitar! His famously unique finger-picking on guitar (as opposed to using a pick) allows him to sound almost orchestral on if he wants. Check out the acoustic version of "Big Love" for an example! However, his voice is getting a bit ragged, so be prepared for that. I still say it's worth the price of admission - it averages about $50 - to be treated to guitar solos like the one you hear during "I'm So Afraid." INTENSE. He plays a lot of new songs you may not be familiar with, so I also suggest you buy the new album when it comes out in September!

    Thanks guys!

"Lindsey-tact" sounds awkward, lol, so we don't have a special word for making eye contact with him. Sad, I know! I'll invent one - "Linds-tact"! How's that?

There was a time when I went to so many shows that he recognized me, but that was years ago! Nowadays I can't afford to go to that many shows. His tickets are much cheaper as a rule, but the travel expenses aren't. It sure sucks when the closest show is over 6 hours away. I miss living within driving distance of multiple major cities that my fave artists/bands actually play regularly! It was especially sweet being so near to Chicago.

And don't worry, Willie, my friends and I will be gentle. lol

I will look into that song. He happens to be playing on a night I usually work, but since it is so close, it may not be that much of a big deal to leave a bit early. Nice score on your seats!

    Very cool Soda!

And I completely agree about Lindsey's guitar playing. Very unique. Most rock guitarists do use a pick. I can only think of 3 right now who don't and are very unique and 2 of which are famous. Lindsey Buckingham, Mark Knopfler, and Steuart Smith. Just "try" to play the part in Rhiannon with that bassline in there. Whenever I cover that song I have the bass guitarist play that bassline as I can't fingerpick for anything so I use a thin pick and hybrid pick that so it sounds pretty much the same but not the way Lindsey does it. I believe my version is the way Waddy Wachtel plays it for Stevie during her solo shows. I physically can't play it like Lindsey. My fingers don't work that way. I can pick individual notes but I can't do independent bass and treble AT THE SAME TIME like Lindsey does.
