1948-2016 Gone but not forgotten
For me My Man is too country for me. The only countryish song I like on this album is Ol' 55, which I hope hangs around longer than My Man, which I don't care for. I like the rockers on the album, but that's no surprise to anyone by now.

RIP Glenn Frey and Randy Meisner
"So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains and we never even know we have the key..."
Well Austin - Last round we were so in sync about Is It True, but now I'm afraid we can't be friends anymore because I like My Man more than Ol' 55.
Seriously though - I really like all of the remaining songs in the game, but, of course, some a little more than others. I just love the simplicity, poignancy, and sentiment of My Man. I also think the vocals on Ol' 55 are gorgeous, but I am not as enamored with it as some. I would vote to eliminate On the Border, but it looks like it's going down without any help from me, so I'm going to be the first here ...
I cast my vote for Ol' 55.

It looks like On The Border is going down and I'm not going to vote against it. So I'm going to vote for My Man.
Brothers for life. RIP Glenn
I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley
Let's see here. Of the 6 songs I really like on the album, 2 have been voted off already and the other 4 are in little or no danger. So, i'm voting with my heart this round:
Good Day in Hell
My Man is my favorite Bernie song as well, Soda! It is so heartfelt and touching. And Ol" 55 is amazing, love the harmonies!
Cast my vote for On The Border, again.
Looks like On the Border is a goner I'm voting for My Man.
Since OTB looks to be next on the chopping block and doesn’t need my vote, I cast my vote for James Dean.
This is getting really hard b/c as I said before, I love just about every song on this album. So any criticism I have is based on minute differences or minor details.
I vaguely remember hearing James Dean back in the day. But it must not have been too memorable b/c I had forgotten it even existed until I watched the band perform it on YT a few years ago. It came back to me but I had no idea it was an Eagles song.
I find it just a tad generic and formulaic. The rest of the songs are more unique and stand out on their own. So even though I do enjoy this song (esp. the awesome version from the California Jam), I believe it is the weakest left.
