Default Alan Frey Interviews with John Beaudin

Got this in a Google alert. Part one of a radio interview with Glenn’s brother Alan reminiscing about the early days of Glenn’s career. He talks more about his own experience during two summers he spent in LA than actually about Glenn, but it’s interesting none the less. http://johnbeaudin.com/interview-gle...es-early-days/

I looked at the video earlier this morning, but didn't know how to link it. Evidently, there will be a second part next Thursday. There are some more cheesy print shirts in the pictures that scroll, Pippin!

Thanks so much for the link, GL. Don't have time to listen to this now, but you know I will!

GL - Thanks it worked the third time I tried it. Kind of a short interview. Hope the next one is longer. He does sound a little like Glenn though. I got a kick out of him saying their Mom sat down in the basement to make sure Glenn practiced his piano lessons.

There are supposed to be 5 parts to the interview. I support it will be one a week for 5 weeks as the next one isn’t until Thursday & the one we heard was originally broadcast Thursday, April 5.

NKIT, I found the tidbit about Glenn’s Mom sitting with him amusing too.

And not just sitting with him making him practice piano, but making him do his homework, too. LOLOL.

Another thing about the interview I just thought of. Alan said he was 15 when he went out to LA for the summer to stay with Glenn. That would have made Glenn only 20-21 years-old. His parents must have really trusted him and he must have been very mature for his age for his parents to allow a 15 year-old spent the summer with him. And, he did it two more summers until he graduated HS. I found that interesting.
