Default PSA for getting old tech out of the house!

If anyone is like us and has old tech stuff in the house that needs to GO, but it's all gathering dust because you don't want to put them in the trash because of environmental issues, etc., Staples is offering FREE recycling at their stores!
    Check it out: https://www.staples.com/…/sustainabili…/earth-day/index.html
They're accepting stuff from April 21-27.
You may now return to your regularly scheduled programming.

Thanks pippin and kudos to Staples, I think this is a great idea.

In Ireland when you buy any electrical appliance (yep, down to a set of ear buds) you pay a WEEE (Waste Electric and Electronic Environmental) charge. Its not very much - from 50c for something small to €50 for a large appliance such as a fridge or dishwasher. Then when it is spent or you replace it you can drop it off at any electrical store and they are bound by law to dispose of it environmentally. If you replace something like a washing machine say they have to collect it from you and take it away too. Well worth it for the environment.

    That's a good idea.

In the U.S. - well, at least in my neck 'o the woods, Florida - some cities aren't providing recycling programs anymore. Apparently since China stopped or cut down on purchasing our recyclable materials, it's making the programs less fiscally feasible. It's a big concern. I think we're going to have to move away from single-use plastics as much as possible.

And it's mighty good to "see" you again, Pippin!!
