    Brothers for life. RIP Glenn

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley

Wow - I would hate to see Hotel California get eliminated before Desperado and Tequila Sunrise. The band's most definitive song deserves better IMHO.

I know a lot of people hate this version(heck I also notice the hatred of Hotel California in general), but I love the acoustic version of HC. I hate this was the only time they ever did this version. Radio played the heck out of this song when it first came out in 1994.

I kinda surprised HC lasted this long. I can see some just don't like any of Don's songs. Since most of the old singles are live versions and not the original, I'm voting on--. Wait what am I voting on anyway. LOL

Well - TBH, shun, I can understand it. I really don't care for this acoustic, percussion-heavy version either. I just can't wrap my head around the song being eliminated so quickly, but, I can see why they didn't do it anymore. It is far inferior to the electrical version, so as I said, I don't guess I should be too surprised. Maybe the real surprise is that it has lasted as long as it has in the game.

With the live tracks, I’m voting based on performance as well as the song. I don’t mind this version of HC and it’s great they tried a different approach. But it’s not as if the original version is in the running here.
