And Take It Easy.... there's just something about Take It Easy. Whenever I hear it, my spirits immediately lift. And it's the one that started it all.

Well - the participation this round is pitiful. Hopefully, we will have some last minute voters come in ...

In any event, as much as I hate to do it, I have to vote for something, so as painful as it is ...

I cast my vote for Heartache Tonight.

The next song to be eliminated in Eagles All-Star Song Survivor is Heartache Tonight. “Heartache Tonight”, the tribe is gonna hurt someone before the night is through. Nobody wants to go home now cause there’s too much going on. But this night can’t last forever, so we won’t beat around the bushes. We have turned out the light on you, so sometime before the sun comes up, you must be off the island. Heartache Baby! The two remaining songs may return to camp ...

We’re at the last round. This round is special, so it’s done differently. We’re not going to vote for the song we want to go. We’re going to vote for the song we want to win. This is how they do it on the real show, after all.

    Once again...

VOTE FOR THE SONG YOU WANT TO WIN.

    Ugh...all the rockers are gone.

Well for me this is pretty easy. The "Eagles" have always had two major songs, and one really is better than the other. I'm a little tired of the other one, which is one of the contenders here, so I'm going to put this truck in reverse and vote for:

New Kid In Town for the win!

Sorry guys - I teach a night class that ends at 8, and I missed the buzzer! I should have just sucked it up and voted right away.

And that's what I'll do now.

Despite how much I adore the emotional power, musical sophistication, and impassioned vocals of "New Kid in Town," I'm going with the Eagles' first big hit and the song so many people associate with them. Yes, the majority of it was written by Jackson Browne, but it truly is a defining EAGLES classic.

TAKE IT EASY FOR THE WIN.

I'm voting for my favorite song by Glenn New Kid In Town. I love the vocals and the arrangement. It deserves to win.

    Brothers for life. RIP Glenn

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley
