Default 3 Star Trek related deaths this past week

Writer D. C. Fontana, Robert Walker, Jr (starred in the TOS episode "Charlie X"), and Rene Auberjonois (Deep Space Nine) all died this past week. Of course, all three were known for things other than Star Trek, but ST did tie the three together.

    RIP.

I’ve always believed in the “things come in threes” superstition. It’s something I’ve seen in my own life and here even in the last couple months. Sometimes it’s a good thing and a lot of times it’s a bad thing. One time I remember when I volunteered at the animal shelter we got three Treeing Walker Coonhounds in just days apart from one another. They were never reclaimed although we thought they had to come from the same house. They all went to rescue and we named them Walker, Texas, and Ranger, lol. I have fond memories of taking Texas to the rescue on a transport trip. He was an affectionate boy and I’ve wanted a coondog ever since. I’ve had beagles now for years and love hound dogs. Elvis was so wrong about them!

I'm crazy about beagles too, Austin. They're so goofy, fun and affectionate.

I saw this on the new the other day. May they all RIP. That episode with Robert Walker Jr. is a classic.
My favorite ST is the Next Generation - I watch it quite often on BBC America.
And, I agree, Beagles are adorable !

Exactly! I love hound dogs. Part for part, they are always affectionate, they love to eat like I do (lol), and they are excellent with children and other pets (for the most part).
I've never hunted a day in my life (my dad has for many years until the last few years), but I still love them. Probably my only real connection to country/southern living and outdoors stuff.

At one point we had 4 here, and now sadly we are down to one. I hope to get another someday but I won't stress my old guy out as he's getting up there and is not doing great health-wise. Maybe someday when he's gone - hopefully not for awhile in that case.

Very sad. I am a big Star Trek fan, and grieve all of them. Regarding Rene, though, my first introduction to him was back when I was a child. I loved him as Clayton on Benson.

    RIP to all of them!

Always in our hearts, Never forgotten
