And now it's coming out that his 13 year old daughter Gianna was in the helicopter crash.

OMG - This is beyond sad. This man was a true NBA legend and apparently his 13 year old daughter was following in his footsteps. They were on their way to a basketball game that she was going to play in today. I am stunned and, of course, my heart goes out to his family, friends, and fans.

    R.I.P. Kobe

RIP Kobe and Gigi. This is so very sad. Three other daughters and a wife left.

This is soo sad. I wasn't into basketball, but Kobe was a great player.

Thoughts and prayers to Vanessa, their daughters and the other families who lost family members.

    RIP to Kobe and Gigi.

    Brothers for life. RIP Glenn

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley
