    Default RIP Joe Diffie

Country singer Joe Diffie died today from complication from coronavirus. He was only 61.

I'm shocked that he died. He had just posted on his facebook on Friday that he had tested positive and now he's gone. Two days later.

I loved his music growing up. I saw him twice in concert and the last time I saw him in concert was in 2017.

    RIP Joe.

    Brothers for life. RIP Glenn

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley

So sad to hear that, Shun. He hasn't looked well these past few years, I don't know what issues he might have had.
His first single, "Home", was my favorite. RIP.

I neglected to mention that Joe had a song that referenced the Eagles, called Bigger than the Beatles.
They got a love bigger than the Beatles
Wild and free like a Rolling Stone
They got a love that takes them higher than the Eagles
    Ain't life such a sweet,sweet song....
One of the many novelty songs he got locked into for a while.

For many years, I always thought the Eagle reference was about the bird. I didn't know that.

That's one of my favorite songs.

This is so sad. TBH - I wasn't a fan because I don't listen to his brand of country music that much. so I wasn't familiar with the song Bigger Than the Beatles. I found it on YouTube and thought the lyrics were clever and cute. Thanks for mentioning it, FF.

My thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans during this sad time.
