I just saw on Facebook that Eddie Van Halen lost his battle with cancer. He was only 65.
RIP Eddie.

Brothers for life. RIP Glenn
I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley
I can't believe Eddie Van Halen is gone. and right after the original bassist for the band, Mark Stone died. R.I.P. Eddie.
My heart aches!!!!! What a tremendous talent. Grew up admiring his playing, one of a kind. He has battled cancer for sometime now. Prayers for family. Rest In Peace.
So very sad. He was some kind of guitar player!
RIP, Eddie

RIP to a true gamechanger in the world of guitar. IMO he was the last one to truly change the game. Before that we had Hendrix's revolution, Clapton's, etc. IMO there haven't been anyone to change it as much as Ed did since Ed started.
