    Default Jim Steinman

Jim Steinman has died at 73: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/jim-...n&utm_term=UCR

Loved Meatloaf. Met my first serious boyfriend when dancing to Bat Out of Hell. No one dances to Bat Out of Hell. It was very Kate Bush and I wish I did ballet. The dance. I think I was rather drunk which gave me enough confidence to not mind being the only one moving.

Great writer - passion, melody, power. #RIPJimSteinman

Another great gone. Great lyricist. Meatloaf “Bat out of Hell” what a gem, so many classics on that one. I love “Total Eclipse of the Heart” Bonnie Tyler as well. Great story SS. He will be missed.

What sad news ! I always loved Meatloaf. His songs are always played on my classic (NYC area) Rock station. RIP Jim Steinman.

Wow! I didn't realize he wrote all those songs. He was definitely a master of the power ballad. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Jim wrote some great songs over the years.

I loved the songs he wrote for a lot of Meat Loaf albums.

    Brothers for life. RIP Glenn

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley

He also wrote the Celine Dion smash “It’s All Coming Back to Me.” When my nephew was little and he heard this song on the radio, he would announce, “That’s my song!”

My personal fave was Air Supply’s “Making Love Out of Nothing At All.” It’s way over the top, but that was the point.
