I have a niggle at the back of my mind which says that Dobie Gray wasn't the only person to record a vocal version of 'The In Crowd'. I know the Ramsey Lewis Trio also recorded it, but that seems to be an instrumental version.

You Tube found me this, but there is no way that it's the niggle in my brain. (I was never of fan of theirs.) I apologise in advance to any Roxy Music fans, but this is definitely one of those 'what were they thinking of' moments. Though in fairness, it might improve after 1.29 which is as far as I could get before pressing stop.
Truly no comparison to Dobie Gray's version made eleven years earlier.

Just found this on YouTube. The expression on Michael's face when he realizes the kid can sing is priceless. Warning... he uses a couple cuss words. It's so cute!!!!!

Thanks, TBF. I was having a crappy Friday afternoon and that just made my day and brought a smile to my face. What a nice guy Buble was to play along and let the him sing! Kudos to that kid for not running out of the theater when his mom got up to plead his case. My 15-year old nephew makes me drop him off two blocks from school -- I can't imagine how he'd take it if I had an entertainer call him out.

I am a Roxy Music fan but Ferry's voice wasn't right for this & it was hard to get past Andy Mackay's mullet. It was OK, but no more than that.
