I was so sorry to learn about Randy's passing. He was such a talented guy and I'm really glad he and the other band members reconciled after he left the band. He contributed so much to the band's early success and we are all beneficiaries of his great music. My prayers go out to his family, friends, and fans.

Rest in eternal peace dear Randy. You will be sorely missed.

Although I am truly saddened about the loss of dear Randy, I am heartened by all the kind comments and tributes made by so many fans, including fellow musicians. It’s also heartening to read the press refer to him as a country rock pioneer.

Rest In Peace, Randy, your struggles are over and your music lives on…

After having some time to process this as I got the news quite late last night before bed and I had surgery early this morning. I'm very sad. I listened to Take It To The Limit before I went to bed last night and I'm listening to Try And Love Again now with tears in my eyes. Randy contributed a lot to this band musically and I think his work on the HC album is sorely underrated ad showed he could do rock n' roll music with the best of them. TALA is sorely underrated. I certainly hate that now we have lost two of our Eagles. I really am glad he was at peace with the other members before he died.

I wanted to stop by and send my condolences to Randy’s family, friends and fans. I just rewatched the Take It To The Limit Live at the Capital Centre 1977 video on YouTube. Randy is at his absolute best. I’ll always remember his contribution to the Eagles and his solo career. RIP.

Don Henley emceed a very private memorial to Randy held at the Troubadour. Only 61 invited guests attended, including Vince Gill and Timothy Schmit. Vince sang Amazing Grace with Rosilee St Nicholas, who was a member of World Classic Rockers with Randy. The evening closed with everyone singing Take It to the Limit.
