Excuse my ignorance, but what is that fantastic riff he plays at 2:24-3:00?

I guessed it was something from Road To Forever;

Thanks. Road To Forever was my first thought, but I've heard the album once and the riff didn't ring a bell. I'm shocked that this killer riff didn't catch my ear first time around. With the intro drum beat the riff has a Fuckin' Up (Neil Young) vibe. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvRmBUEwtZg)
EDIT:
Just listened to the studio version and I noticed why it didn't grab me. I like the riff more when Don plays a one-note version of it lower (on the A-string) with distortion. It's not like that on the record.

Oops. I've fixed the second link in my original post but here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3_qP27CJWA
Thanks!
Right or wrong, what’s done is done
It’s only moments that you borrow...
Thank you for the Ernie Ball video, UtW! I didn't know the Eagles had a sponsorship from the company. I liked what DF had to say about his creative process too.
Holy Frampton, he plays a vocoder/talk box thingie!
Gotta love how he managed to throw Hotel California in there, again. He wanted to demonstrate a minor 3rd bend and the HC solo happens to start with one.
(Incidentally, it was cool that he didn't play HC in the first clip, but some more recent stuff.)
Mr. Felder tries out some Ernie Ball effects pedals. Spoiler alert: he likes them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTVXVf1PZ8M
