Thanks! I decided to make a quick one while I was on my laptop.

I have not seen a current photo of Linda. I guess I'll go looking.

I have to think she'll have to do press for the book--I don't know how eager to is to sing anymore, but she can still do sit down interviews. Maybe Oprah can snag her for her channel!

In a recent interview with JD, he implied strongly he had chatted with her about the book, and seeing how intwined her voice and his words were over the years, I'm sure he plays a part in it. And I still think Glenn's silence (vs. Don's vocal "no") during London press junket question on speaking to Linda re: the book, implies he spoke with her, too. She commented once she discovered a lot of songs and artists via Glenn's record collection, so he has to be a relatively major part of a chapter or two, no matter if she talks about net personal life or not!

The fact it's only 208 pages mystifies me--maybe it's small print!

There's an interview from like spring with her on YouTube--at some conference on Southwest music. She's still her bubbly self--didn't seem guarded like she can in some print interviews. Her vocal tone has changed discernibly in her speaking voice, but whether that is from age or due to her thyroid disease, I don't know.

    That's too bad. I didn't know that.

We have 5 or 6 of her first albums and she was beautiful on those. Voice too. I guess I should say 'did' have. We gave all of our vinyls to our daughter as she's really in to them. All except the Eagles ones, of course! I kinda wish we hadn't done that cause I miss them sometimes! But we don't have a turntable and probably won't get one so......

I still have a few of her albums, I love one specifically titled 'We Ran' which has a brilliant John Hiatt cover.

If anyone is interested, here is the link to an article written 30 years ago about her trip to South/ern Africa... I don't think she won many people over by coming here at the time of the cultural boycott, when it would seem that the only real reason to have done so was financial. She claimed after the fact not to have known about the boycott.

SA was a very different country back then.

In YT comments, she gets a lot of "Sun City" slack. I don't know how she couldn't have known about artists boycotting the nation due to Apartheid, but I thought she later gave some reasoning that art was for everyone and rose above political matters, no matter the county's moral issues....
