Re: What's happening in your life?
Wow, sounds like everyone is pretty busy!
Way to go on that essay, Kath! Good job!
Have fun and Happy Birthday, Kay!
Congrats to Lisa on moving to a house and also selling one! That is exciting but a lot of work, too.
We finally got that big snow storm last night. I live about 120 miles north of St. Louis and we got about 10-12 inches overnight. It's really beautiful. Most everything is pretty well shut down. At least we didn't lose power like a lot of St. Louis did. I live about 2 miles from work down a country road. I'm still amazed I made it. If not for hubby and a 4 x 4, I wouldn't have. What a dedicated employee I am! But hey, it's payday and I do payroll!

Re: What's happening in your life?
Brooke, I am so glad you started this thread too. Wow, that is a lot of snow--my daughters would be so jealous. If we ever get the tiniest bit of snow flurries here in Alabama, they close the schools and all the grocery stores immediately run out of milk & bread!
Kay, happy belated bday!
Lisa, congrats on selling your house too.
EF--don't we just wish we could all sit around and visit with the Eagles the way that band visited with you!
Not a whole lot going on with me at the moment. I am trying to work, get my Christmas decorations out, and help my best friend's husband throw her a surprise bday party this weekend. I have to lure her over to my house Saturday night while everyone arrives at her house, and I am a lousy liar so I am working on my poker face so she won't suspect anything!

Re: What's happening in your life?
Good grief, thank you Michaela. How cool. My only visit to Bremen was in 1972 but I remember the statue of the musicians very fondly.
Great reading everyone's stories (congrats Kath) but I lead an extremely quiet life. We did go to the Billy Joel & Elton John concerts but now we're just waiting for Christmas. We are supposed to be decorating the house this weekend.
On a topical note my political party are having a leadership spill on Monday. I am hoping the new man if elected might have what it takes to rid this country of the incumbent (by which I mean George W's best mate, the Prime Minister). I have followed his career closely. I also hope that Peter Garrrett, the ex singer of Midnight Oil, might be promoted to the shadow cabinet. End of sermon.
