    Congrats Kath and Lisa.

Michaela, I got dragged up on stage with an improv comedy troupe once. It all happened so fast I didn't even have time to become scared. I'll take singing some ooohhh's over what I had to do!

This has been a trying week. A couple of people that I care deeply about are going through terrible times. I spent a lot of time this week just trying to be supportive.

Hubby is in Germany this week and (Z and Kay don't tell him this coz I'll just deny it), I really miss him. Probably because it's seems like it's been such a looong week. When I talked to him this morning he told me he was really homesick, too.

Top it all off with the snowstorm today. Our part of the state got between 9 and 17 inches!! I think we got something like 10 or 11. I couldn't get the snowthrower working so I've been shoveling on and off all day. My son, Tom, just showed up to save the day! I can hear as I'm typing this that he got the stupid machine going and he'll probably have the entire driveway done in half an hour.

Took the opportunity since I was housebound to put up two of my Christmas trees!

For the first time since June, I have an entire weekend free!! No conversions, no family events, no hospital visits, no concerts, nothing scheduled!!! I don't know how to act. I'm even sending Hubby on an all day errand tomorrow to check on the beach house.

I've made a very long list of things I'd like to accomplish during this free time. I'll be thrilled if I get even half of them done.

I know that can be tough. You deserve to have some fun after all you've been going through in the past couple of weeks. Hopefully once hubby gets home things will look up!

We wound up getting no real snow accumulation at all. I dont want a blizzard, but I'd love to get some snow instead of the icky slush and 50 mph winds we suffered today in Indiana.

And Z - don't forget to pencil in some time to kick back on your to-do list.

Sheryl, sorry to hear that you have had some tough times, and no hubby to be there for you. Hope he has a safe trip home and that your friends can ride through their troubles. Deep snow must be the last straw.

Have a nice weekend, Z. I have a free day too as my other half has gone to our holiday home in Cornwall.

Trust me, I am extremely thankful for the beach house, but you have to remember that it comes with a huge mortgage and takes alot of work. The true motivation in owning it is that we could give the money to the mortgage company or to Uncle Sam -- and Uncle Sam doesn't give us weekend getaways in return. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)">

Our holiday home is on a park. We let it through the company, so only get use of it out of season, when we are usually repainting or replacing things. I long for the day when we can go down there and relax!

I have great news--my oldest, Rachel, has been accepted to the college of her choice--University of Montevallo-- and she has been awarded a full academic scholarship for all four years! We are so proud and thankful!

    Awww...thanks, guys.

I wish I could say she takes after me, but truth is, when I was her age, I couldn't have come close to doing as well in school as she has already done. I scored high enough to be admitted to the Univ of Alabama, but it was by no means scholarship-worthy.

She is much smarter than her old mom & dad!

What I know I have passed on to her is my real love of music (she loves the Eagles), and I am proud of that, too!
