Molly, I am glad your husband is okay, too. That picture of the destruction is unbelievable.

Re: What's happening in your life?
Well ladies - I have also been away for a couple days and just now read this thread.
S, I know you must still be in shock - the devastation in that picture sent chills through me. I am so thankful that Ditka is okay. You are both in my thoughts, of course. I am sure the job security must be stressful, but I'm sure it will work itself out in time. I know you both will be fine.
Nancy, I'm sorry this is late, but a very belated Happy Birthday to you. I meant to do this sooner, but I kept forgetting. My bad! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)"> That was such a sweet email from your Dad.
Z and Michaela, and everyone else, I also understand what it is like for you and your families going through the holidays without your loved ones. Holidays and special occasions are alway a tough time for missing departed family, especially the first one. My dad passed away seven years ago on this past November 14th. Christmas was very difficult for me that first year. Even though my dad was not very close to me and my siblings (it's a long story for another day), he was still a part of me, and I miss him more than I ever thought I would. This year is very difficult for me because I lost my very dear uncle in April. He was the father figure in my life for many years, and I miss him very much.
It helps to share your memories and feelings with friends, and I am grateful count all of you on this board among my friends. Peace and joy to all of you.

Re: What's happening in your life?
Thanks to everyone who sent their good wishes our way. I'm a firm believer in the power of prayer and positive thoughts, so trust me, my family has "felt" your positiveness, and we appreciate it. This is a wonderful little community here, and I value what each of you has added to my life.
Steve has been able to become an active part of moving Falk forward, he's there right now, trying to sort through what can be salvaged and what the next steps towards rebuilding may be. I can tell he's feeling a lot better than when he was sitting home fretting. While we still do know how long or if he still has a job, I have lots of confidence in his talent and abilities. We'll land on our feet - I have no doubt! (or is it no endowed? ) <G>
I've decided, too, to get involved with some of the other Falk wives to see what we can do to help the families of those lost or injured to try to make their Holiday a little more bearable. Hmmm, seems like a wise man just recently told us to "Do Something". Doing something is a much better approach to this than sitting around feeling sorry for ourselves!
Thanks again, guys!
Sheryl
