Thought I would revive this VERY old thread (one of the first that was posted on the original "Flip City" board) because of the discussion we were having in the Eagles forum.

One of my favorite live Glenn performances:

Soda, I agree with you -Glenn's performance of Desperado at Dublin was fantastic! I can honestly say I love his singing of Desperado as much as I love Don's, and Desperado is my all time favorite Eagles song!
Another one I love from Dublin is "I've Got Mine". I also love Glenn's live performance of "Take it to the Limit"-gets to me every time I hear it-I have to sing along!

I was just thinking (again) about Glenn's version of Desperado...that is the sexiest sweat I have ever seen---he is too HSG in that video!

I was driving around this afternoon listening to "Lover's Moon" from Hell Freezes Over Night two, and I was thinking how heavenly Glenn sounds singing this song. When Don comes in on the harmonies, it is like hearing the angels sing! Since Glenn hasn't been doing any songs from his solo career, I wonder if he could be persuaded to add this one to the LROE tour?? I would be so happy if he did, and I'll bet there are others on this board who would be too!

There are no words left to describe that performance of Desperado. Also don't forget Wild Mountain Thyme.

The live tracks I tend to like are the one offs which have never been performed again - viz. Show Biz Kids, (Marie's The Name) His Latest Flame. I was lucky enough to see 6345789 and it rocks. For those who don't know these are from the Royal Oak 'homecoming show' in 2000.

I am very fond of the 'swampy' version of Smuggler's Blues, although I know others prefer the 'rock' version (which I saw, at least). Also ANY performance of Heartache Tonight rocks. I may come back to this. One more - the Tokyo version of Rocky Mountain Way is a knockout.

Oh yes, and I Hear You Knockin' and Some Kind Of Wonderful. How I wish there were an audio version of I'll Come Running Back To You.
